Organizations
Since 2006 HWI has joined with the Domanada Foundation in advancing the work of God’s Kingdom in the world. The mission of the Domanada Foundation is to “Help people and ministries live out God’s call in their lives.” For HWI, the Domanada Foundation has helped us think through many of our organizational and ministry challenges. Over the last 8 years HWI has benefited from being able to share leadership challenges, ministry joys, and infrastructure issues with Godly leaders who have made HWI a more focused organization.
The team at Domanada Foundation challenges our organization by asking thought provoking questions and providing insightful observations. Further, they connected us to legal counsel regarding our Trike issues. They also recommended a well qualified tax accountant familiar with not-for-profit accounting that has been a perfect fit for us. Finally, they helped us revise our mission statement.
Isaac Newton once said (slightly paraphrased by Alice), “If His Wheels International has seen further than other organizations, it is because we have stood on the shoulders of giants.”
HWI has met many of those giants at the Domanada Foundation. Thanks for remaining an integral partner with His Wheels International. We value our partnership. If every organization had such a network of Godly leaders standing with them, think of the creative things that could emerge for Christ and His Kingdom.

Angola, Africa with Rise International
May made our 4th year of distributing bicycles for educators in Angol, Africa through our partnership with Rise International. This year, in addition to sending 2 bicycles, tools, spare parts and $1,200 to buy bicycles, we also sent a trike.
The trike went to a school teacher. It will allow her to travel to and from her village on weekends to see her family.

Florida (Dunnellon) Visited I-TEC
On December 23, 2009 while in Florida Alice and her friend Carolyn went “drove to I-TEC (Indigenous People’s Technology and Education Center), founded by Steve Saint. I-TEC’s mission is to help indigenous churches in their journey toward independence by enabling them to overcome the technological and educational hurdles that stand in their way. They equip people around the world with the necessary technology and train them so they can care for themselves with minimal outside support.
When Steve saw a picture of HWI’s trike, he shared a heart-breaking story. He said, ‘While serving as a missionary in Mali, West Africa, I saw what looked like a small animal crawling along in sewer water. When I got closer, I was appalled to find a small child pulling himself along by his hands.’ Steve encouraged us, ‘Keep doing what you are doing,’ and he and his staff offered to help HWI by sharing their expertise.
I-TEC shared our ministry philosophy and was further down the road than we were in building remuneration into their program.”*
