Talked with my friend and missionary nurse Carolyn Adolph on Saturday, July 6, 2013. Carolyn is serving at Soddo Christian Hospital in Ethiopia. I learned that this week that a group of about 8 people came from the local disability society all in need of trikes. They only had 2 left and they were both given away. The leader from the local disability group made the decision of who received the trikes.
One went to a young man in his mid 20’s. Five years ago after finishing 8th grade his education was put on hold when he fell out of a tree and became a paraplegic. The trike will allow him to resume his education.
The other went to a young man in his mid twenties who had both his leg affected by Polio as a child.
Now we are praying and trying to figure out our next steps to get trikes to Ethiopia.
